PHI Group Background
Originally incorporated as JR Consulting, Inc. in June 1982, the Company was foremost engaged in mergers and acquisitions. In 2000 it merged with a California-based financial services company and changed the corporate name to Providential Holdings, Inc. In April 2009, the Company changed its name to PHI Group, Inc.
The Company invests in selective industries and special situations that potentially generate superior returns on investment and provides M&A advisory services to international clients through our wholly owned subsidiary, PHI Capital Holdings, Inc. In addition, we are in the process of establishing a Luxembourg-based regulated bank fund “PHI Vietnam GI Funds” to invest in renewable energy, agriculture, real estate and other industries.
The Company successfully spun off one of its subsidiaries, ATC Technology, Inc., which now has become Cellular Biomedicine Group, Inc. (CBMG, http://www.cellbiomedgroup.com/) and is trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market. We emulate the same strategy used by large companies like Newell Brands (NYSE:NWL), Valeant Pharmaceuticals International (NYSE:VRX) and Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK-B)
